We long ago reached the point of needing rational reforms. The Parents of America need to openly demand change. There also needs to be a real conversation about the steady diet of fear and acrimony feed to the US public that results in political paralysis by our legislative bodies, state and federal. This is a solvable, but the impediments run deep.
