You are absolutely right, Ben; we need to recognize how the destruction of our country's values is affecting the mental health of all of us. And, yes, we need to create a movement to fight back. I only wish I could visualize what it would look like...

This resonates with me deeply. As if the volume on life has suddenly been turned up to a painful and inaudible level. And yet sometimes I look around and see people acting as if everything's fine, and I want to yell, "Isn't this hurting your ears as well?!!!" Thanks for the lovely post.

Once people with dangerous mental health issues were locked away in asylums. Which is a far better option than letting them run a democratic country.
